Obituary for Walter Molley

On May 23, 2023, Walter Molley of Algonquin, Il, formerly of Schiller Park, IL Norridge, IL and Chicago, IL, passed away at the age of 91. Walter was born in a log cabin in Kittson County, MN on a rural farm near Lancaster, MN on April 9, 1932. He learned to fix everything on the farm and spent most of his life as a handyman after work. He was an army veteran and served 2 years in the Korean War and served with the 5th regimental combat team for 4 months at Heart Break Ridge, Christmas Hill and Pork Chop Hill. Upon discharge he worked for Thompson Steel for 43 years and retired in 1997. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union for 30 years.
Walter was the beloved husband of the late Arlene Lepczyk. He is survived by his brother Elmer and sister Dorothy. He was the loving father of Wayne (Donna) and Glenn (Janet) and loving grandfather of Brian (Robyn), Phillip (Amanda), Andrew (Yurail), Ryan, Lauren and loving great grandfather of Alec, Delilah and Parker.
Walter was preceded in death by his father John, his mother Helen, his brothers Thomas, Lawrence and Andrew, his sisters Frances, Lillian, Stella, Elsie, Bernice and Margaret.
Visitation Friday, May 26, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Entombment Irving Park Mausoleum.
