Obituary for Walter Wayne Layne
Walter W. Layne, age 73, United States Marine Corps Veteran, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023. Walter was the dearest son of the late Dorothy, nee Gardella, and the late Walter S. Layne; dear brother of Dennis S. (Janet) and Jim A. Layne; fond uncle Wally of Stephen Layne, Jennifer (Frank) Tufano, Jamie and Jessica Layne and great uncle of Kate, Cora and Charlotte. Wally was a member of the Forest Park American Legion Post #414, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
Visitation Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. We will then proceed to St. Celestine Church (St. Mother Theodore Guerin Parish) 3020 N. 76th Ct. Elmwood Park, IL for Mass at 12:30 p.m. The interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
