Thomas Robert "Tom" Ericson, age 75, United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. passed away on April 12, 2021. Tom was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen, nee Cinquegrani, for 55 wonderful years; loving father of Laura M. (Steve) Kefer and Thomas D. Ericson; dearest son of the late Arlene and Eric Ericson; cherished grandfather of Michael Kefer, Alex Ericson and Julianna Kefer; great grandfather of Xavier; dear brother of Eddie (Diane) and Ricky (Brenda) Ericson; fond uncle of many. Tom was employed for over 35 years at Loyola University. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org or the American Cancer Society at cancer.org would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. We will then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church in Chicago for a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., and the interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Cemetery services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery are limited to 25 masked attendees. Due to the current health guidelines, visitations at Cumberland Chapels are limited to 50 attendees at a time. Please wear masks and practice proper social distancing.
