Philip Ralph Marotta, age 88, Born on October 28, 1934 in Chicago, passed away peacefully on July 19th in the presence of his loving family. Philip was the beloved son of the late Katherine (nee Baraglia) and the late Philip Marotta. Philip is survived by his sister, Florence (the late Thomas) Steinke. Philip is preceded in death by his sister Caroline (the late Frank) Asta and Brothers, Rocco (Penny) Marotta, Vincent (Marie) Marotta and Sam (the late Geraldine) Marotta. Philip was a cherished uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews, bringing his guidance, wisdom and laughter to their lives. His role as "Uncle Junior" was an essential part of his identity, and his nephews and nieces held him in the highest, loving regard. Philip proudly served his country in the United States Army. Visitation and Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church 2601 Clinton St, River Grove, IL 60171 with visitation beginning at 9:00 am and Funeral Mass To follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Il.
