Nicholas James Van Atta was a loving and caring son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, partner, and friend. He left this world suddenly on Sunday, August 8th. He was 24 years old.
Nick was born to Carmela and James Van Atta on September 2, and was lovingly called “Nikko” by family members growing up. After graduation, Nick immediately found a job and eventually moved to a place by the lake in Chicago. He had a love of music and food, which he used as his compass to navigate the city he loved and called home.
A bright soul, Nick was loved by everyone that met him. He had a way of always keeping those around him laughing, and had an infectious smile and laugh that made people feel at ease just by being around him.
