With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Bonnie Olson. She died at home, as was her wish, at the age of 100, surrounded by family. Bonnie was born in Napoleon ND July 17, 1922 to John and Maren Johnson. She liked to say she was the 7th child born on the 17th day of the 7th month. She was one of eleven children. After high school, she came to Chicago and married the late Martin Olson. They moved to Norridge in 1956 and were founding residents of the town and of Acacia Park Lutheran Church. She was the loving mother to Ralph, Richard (Carol), Susan Gaillard, Marlene (Martin) Ryan, Robert (Valerie) and Roger (Becky) Olson. She was a beloved grandmother of 21, great-grandmother of 13 and precious aunt to many. She was a faithful donor to many worthwhile causes. In her memory, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate to Disabled Veterans or to the ALS foundation. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 11:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake.
