Mary A. Costantini 98 nee Ferreri. At Peace with Christ, Sunday, May 15, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Florian. Loving mother of Diane (the late Dennis) India, John (Kathy), Tom (Pam) and Madelyn (Frank) Wsol. Cherished grandmother of John (Katie), Jennifer (Nate), Michael (Jessica), Daniel (Holly), Allison (John), Joe, Frank III (Melissa), Jimmy ( Susie), Brian (Denise), Kevin (Joanna), Anthony and the late Lauren. Great grandmother of 18. Dear sister of John (Diane) , the late Leo the late (Vinzie) Ferreri, the late Anna the late Bob) Blazer and the late Richard (Mary Lee ) ferreri. Dear sister in law of the late Norina “Dolly” and the late (Fred) Krueger. Fond cousin, aunt and great aunt. Enza Aurora Marie Costantini was a Parishioner of Saint Monica’s Parish for more than seventy (70) years. Mary served the Parish in numerous capacities and through its many different missions including the St. Monica’s Women’s Club, she was the Financial Officer of the Italian Catholic Federation, co-sponsor of many St. Joseph Day celebrations, Member of the Parish Council, Girl Scout Leader, Member of the Seniors’ Club, she served as a Eucharistic Minister, worked on the altar cloth committee, she gave of herself in so many more ways.
Mary will be remembered as a strong woman that held a deep belief in the Catholic faith. She lived a blessed, happy and thankful life where our Lord gave her a wonderful husband, four children she cherished, twelve grandchildren (along with their spouses) and eighteen great grandchildren she loved dearly, a family that crossed local neighborhoods, state lines and even the ocean, and so many good friends.
Mary lived her life like many of us, facing many challenges and disappointments and embracing all the good and happy moments with family and friends. She lived her life following in the footsteps and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin. She was a person with great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, she prayed the rosary with passion and thought.
Mary was blessed with many gifts that she freely shared and celebrated as she was an exceptional artist, gourmet cook, master baker and she was never afraid to learn and further develop her many talents.
Our mom, Mary was an extraordinary person, a beautiful and classy lady, she was loved by many and she loved all that crossed her path and were part of her great life.
Mary will be missed by all who had the pleasure to be in her life as she was selfless, forgiving, thoughtful, hopeful, always kind to all and filled with the Holy Spirt and the love of our Lord.
Visitation Sunday, May 22nd from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Services Begin: Monday 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to St. Monica Church, Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M., Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum. In Lieu of flowers memorial to St. Monica Church would be appreciated.
