Maria Raineri (nee Pirrone) age 85, at rest on May 4, 2023. Born in Corleone Italy, she immigrated to Chicago via New York in 1955 on Christmas Eve. In 1962, she returned to Sicily to marry and came back to America to start a family and continued to live a full life with her daughters and grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Raineri. Loving mother of Enza Raineri, Fran Raineri and Mary (Bart) Maestranzi. Cherished grandmother of Robert, Arianna and Luciano. Dear sister of Josephine (Peter) Stecca, Carmela Pirrone and the late Teodoro Pirrone, Francesca Pirrone and Paolina (the late Calogero) Di Palermo. Visitation will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL. Funeral Tuesday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and will then proceed to St. Eugene Church for 10:00 am Mass. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
