Obituary for Lucja "Lucy" Borek Kryst
Lucja "Lucy" Borek Kryst, nee Markuszewska, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2023. Lucy was the beloved wife of the late Frank Borek and the late Chester Kryst; loving mother of Lester (Marsha) and Henry (Verna) Borek; dearest daughter of the late Wanda and Boleslaw Markuszewski; cherished grandmother of Kevin (Sara) and Shane Borek; dear sister of Nina Kampioni, Richard Markuszewski and the late Lillian Zaj and Regina Ludwa; fond aunt of Christine (James) Dublin and Alina Zaj. Lucy was a dear and grateful companion to George Unbiener for many years.
Visitation Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL.
Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Mausoleum in Niles.
