Leonard J. Barbarone, age 80, at rest April 13, 2024. Leonard was a decorated Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army and was a Retired Chicago Police Officer. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Nehls). Loving father of  Anna (Doug) Walton, Keri (Steve) Mayer, Deanna Grabowski, Anthony (Deanna) Serio and Michael ( Lori) Serio. Loving son of the late Leo and the late Genevieve Barbarone.  Papa of 12 grandchildren and great Papa of 5 great grandchildren Dear brother of Darlene (Jack) Hilton and the late Peter (Nancy) Barbarone. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Leonard will take place on Wednesday April 17, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Thursday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge for 10:00 am Mass. Interment and Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
