Joseph A. Zaccagnini, age 89, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023. Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy, nee Master; loving father of George J. (Suzanne) and Joseph A. (Annette) Zaccagnini; dear son of the late Helen and Joseph; cherished papa of Ashley (John) Lloyd, Deanna, Christopher, Joseph and Nicholas Zaccagnini; great grandfather of William Lloyd; deaest brother of Josephine (John) Watrach, James (Donna), and Anthony (Virginia) Savino and the late Peter (Esther) Zack; fond uncle of many.
Joe was a member of F.O.P. #7, and he was a Chicago Police Officer for 37 years.
Visitation Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Mary of the Woods Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
