John T. Mietus, age 85, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 29, 2022. John is the beloved husband of Marie, nee Komperda, for 57 wonderful years; loving father of Bernadette (Ewan) Stevenson, Jeanette (Kenneth) Johnson and the late Pamela (Timothy) Heider and the late Donna Mietus; dearest son of the late Aniela and Franciszek Mietus; cherished grandfather of Angelina Crespo, Jessica and John Johnson, Andrew and Callum Stevenson; great grandfather of Nicholas; dear brother of Franciszek (Zofia), Bronislaw (Wladyslawa) and the late Anna Mietus; fond uncle of many. Visitation Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL.
