Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ G. Podsada, 73, passed way August 22, 2023. Beloved husband of Esther for 53 wonderful years. Loving father of Dawn (Alex) Vail, Judy (Lenny) Shipman, Richie (Monique) Podsada. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Morgan, Sara, Hailey, Lenny, Genna, Emma, RJ. Great grandfather of Carter. Fond uncle of many. Jeff was a Sergeant in the Marine Corp, serving two tours of duty during the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart for his service. He retired after more than 30 years of work for the City of Chicago. Diehard Chicago sports fan, especially the Bears and Cubs. Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Chicago, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
