James D. Griffin, 94, passed away March 1, 2024. Proud Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Patricia ‘Patsy’ Joan for 54 wonderful years. Loving father of Patricia (Jeffery) Zinck, Timmy Griffin, Kathy (Robert) Pindras, John G. Griffin, the late Tommy Griffin, the late Michael Griffin, and the late Jimmy Griffin. Cherished son of the late Jeremiah and Hannah Griffin. Loving grandfather of Melissa (Barrett), Ryan, Cindy, Zachary, Katelyn, Tommy, and Timmy. Dear brother of the late Mary Barrett. Fond uncle of many. James was a long time building inspector for the City of Chicago and pursued a hobby in real estate. He was a pillar of strength for his family and his selfless love will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10:30 until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Info: 708-456-8300
