George R. Grabert, age 59, at rest on December 27, 2023. George was formerly of Norridge, currently residing in Trevor Wisconsin. Loving partner of Cindy Cort. Father of George Whiteside.  Dear son of the late George E. and the late Estelle (nee Iwanski) Grabert. Fond brother of the late John (Mary) Grabert, Georgianne (Tony) Cirrincione, Debbie (Greg) Glassner and Robert A. Grabert. Beloved uncle of Lisa, Melanie, Richard, Steve and Jeff. and great uncle of Jeremy, Gianna and Erin. George was a talented musician and sang and played numerous instruments especially Guitar and Keyboard. George learned to play music by ear. His dream was to have his own studio where his friends and band mates could come to jam. He loved his kitties, Bubbie, Tabatha and Magic.  He also loved lake life especially fishing and boating and was an auto Mechanic for many years. George had many friends and enjoyed all of the good times he spent with them.  Visitation for George will take place on Friday, January 5th, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Il.
