Obituary for Gary Len Bixler
Gary Bixler, age 66. Beloved husband of Karen Tummillo Bixler nee Siciliano; beloved son of the late Rudy and the late Barbara Stigerwald; fond brother of Stephen (Glenda) Bixler; loving father of Jennifer (John) Brust, Gary, Jr. and Erik; fond grandfather of Vincent Buonicore, (Anna), Christopher, Michael, Ciana and Hayden; great grandfather of Veronica; step-father of Tony, Gia and Nanci Tummillo and Alex Makridis; step-grandfather of Frankie Tummillo and Yanni Makridis; dear brother-in-law of Maria, Anthony, Bobbie and the late Michael Siciliano; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; also survived by his former wife Alice McKittrick.
Gary worked for Peoples Gas Company for 35 years. He was also the president of Local 18007 for 6 years. He was a motorcycle rider and rode with a wonderful group of people called the Thunder Patriot Riders. He raised money for different charities from handicapped children to homeless people. He also volunteered with meals on wheels and helped many people in the community. He was well liked and had a heart of gold. A simple man that will truly be missed.
Memorial visitation Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Service at 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Please omit flowers.
