Obituary for Eugene Holowicki

Eugene Holowicki was born on March 8, 1930 in Chicago. He was in the United States Air Force stationed in Molesworth, England during the Korean war. He met the love of his life, Glennis (Lansberry) Holowicki. They were married in Kettering, England. They moved to the States where they raised their four children, Linda, Steven (Tammy), Anthony (Jeanne) and Carol (Edward) Flynn. He loved his 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He enjoyed supporting them in their activities. He was a proud union pressman who printed some of the top publications including National Geographic and Playboy. He had true passion for golf and loved all sports. Gene and Glennis loved to travel. Many of their vacations were with the Union Printcraft International Golf Association where they made friends. They enjoyed attending dances through the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and were members of St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr parish for many years. Gene stayed by her side faithfully through dementia until she passed. His passing is only three months since hers – a true love story of 68 years. Visitation for Eugene will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of his funeral service at 11:30 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will military honors will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
