Obituary for Esther Jarosh

Esther M Jarosh , age 92, of Chicago, IL peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in her home.
She was born on April 4, 1929 in Bevent, WI and is one of six daughters (and eight sons) of Frank and Faustina (Meronek) Niewinski. Esther moved to Chicago in 1950.
In August 1951, the former Ms. Niewinski was united in marriage to Joseph A. Jarosh at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Chicago. The couple also made their home in Chicago, IL. Joseph passed away in 1976. Esther had three sons, Keith (Deceased), Wayne (Marsha) Jarosh of Huntley, IL and Ted (Kathy) Jarosh of Harwood Heights, IL.
Esther worked at Sears and WW Grainger, retiring just 10 years ago. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and especially her family. She was truly a diehard Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Esther is survived by grandchildren, Dawn (Dave) Meziere of Chicago, IL, Ted (Melissa) Jarosh of Lombard, IL, Jonathan Jarosh of Chicago, IL and Amy (Frank) Ekkert of Huntley, IL. She has six great-grandchildren, Parker, Julia, Addison, Chloe, Zoe and Braxton; and sister, Leona (Ray) Rutta of Plover, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph in 1976; son Keith in 1975; eight brothers, John, Ray, Ted, Felix, Barney, Frank, Jr., Chester and Clarence; and four sisters, Estelle, Agnes, Frances and Mary.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Cumberland Chapels at 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL on Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021 from 9:00-11:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7211 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL.

Due to COVID concerns a Remembrance Celebration for Esther will be announced at a later date.

MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE VISITATION AND ALSO AT CHURCH FOR THE MASS. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL ALSO BE OBSERVED.
