Eleuteria "Teyita" Ares, nee Lopez, age 97, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023. Eleuteria was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Rivera and the late Gregorio Ares; loving mother of Victor Rivera, Maria (Eddie) Sanchez and Aquilino (Karen) Rivera; dearest daughter of the late Aquilina and Aquilino Lopez; cherished grandmother to her 6 wonderful grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Teyita was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers, and she was a fond aunt to many.
Visitation Friday, November 17, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in River Grove. For more information call (708)456-8300.
