Obituary for Donato Carbonara
Donato Carbonara, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2022. He emigrated from a town called Capurso in Bari, Italy in 1961. A long time resident of Harwood Heights, Donato loved gardening and was a devoted member of Societa Madonna Della Pozzo. "Everybody loved to hear him sing."
Donato is the beloved husband of Anna, nee Vittone, for 63 wonderful years; loving father of Pasquale (Becky), Nicola and Anna Gina Carbonara; dear son of the late Anna and Pasquale, and step son of the late Teresa; cherished grandfather of Angalia, Alexandria and Gianna Carbonara; dear brother of the late Raffaele (the late Nineta) Carbonara and step brother of Pepino (Anna) Carbonara; fond uncle of many.
Visitation Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. the entombment will follow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum within All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
