Darlene Elizabeth Melone (nee Veach) age 79, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday March 22, 2022. Beloved wife of John Melone for 60 beautiful years. Loving mother of John (Fredrika) Melone, Elisa Kuri, James (Raquel) Melone and Thomas (Christine) Melone. Cherished daughter of Mabel Veach and the late William Veach. Dear grandmother of John (Carly), Nicole (John) Servedio, Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, Daniel, James, Jamie (Scott) Frankhouser, Hayley, Maddison Allison, and Ashley. Great grandmother of Hunter and JT Melone. Fond sister of Charles (Pam) Veach and the late Karen Gitterle. Sister-in-Law of Eugene (Bonnie) Melone and the late Gabriella Michels. Fond aunt, cousin, and amazing friend to many. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. Visitation for Darlene will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Ill. The funeral will take place on Saturday beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and will then proceed to Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago for 10:00 am Mass. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Mausoleum in Hillside.
