Carole Mascenic, nee Ziaja, age 96, passed away on December 14, 2023. Carole was the beloved wife of the late Frank; loving mother of Frank J. (Maryann) and Michael J. (Theresa) and the late Mary Ann Mascenic; cherished grandmother of Jennifer Johnson, Nathan (Silvia) Mascenic, Dana Oleksyn, Jamie (Oscar Rodriguez) Mascenic and Jessica (Greg) Riba and great grandmother of Nathan, Zoe, Angelina, Jamie, Cora, Elianna, Kayla, Sawyer, Michael, Dominic, Giulianna and Vivian; dear sister of the late Cecilia, Julius, Ed, Chester, Esther and Doris; fond aunt of many.
Carole worked at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center for 32 years.
Visitation Monday, December 18, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Monica Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
