Carlo John D'Agostino, 75, passed away July 7, 2022. Carlo was born May 13, 1947 in Chicago, the son of Carlo and Josephine D'Agostino. He proudly worked with his brother for over 50 years to help establish D'Agostino's Pizzeria. On September 29, 1967 he married the love of his life, Jacqueline Takala. They shared a beautiful life together which included spending time with family and friends, traveling, a love of animals and famous holiday celebrations. Carlo was a legendary prankster and joke teller. He was passionate about his family, music and taking photos. The pride for his children and grandchildren was evident in his smile and the way he spoke about them. He loved playing cards and games and certainly was quite skilled at them. He was a devoted Papa who happily attended endless games and events for his grandchildren. He was a friend to all and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jackie, as well as his son Carlo (Sherri) D'Agostino, daughter Cari (Tom) Gavin, his grandchildren Marina, CJ, Kate, Julia, his sister Annette (the late Bill) Daly, brother Joe (the late Jan) D'Agostino and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Alyssa Gavin, and brother Jim (Fran) D'Agostino.

Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Entombment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago. For further information please call the funeral home at (708) 456-8300
