Obituary for Angelina P. Taddeo

Angelina “Angie” Taddeo (nee Traficanti), age 94, of Naples, FL (formally Hinsdale, IL) passed away peacefully November 30, 2022. Angie was born April 15, 1928, to the late Frank and Sarah Traficanti, in Chicago, IL. Angie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Taddeo; loving mother of Peter (Eugenia) Taddeo, Annette (Curtis) Leming, Frank (Connie) Taddeo, and Rosemary (Joseph) Langkawel; fond grandmother of Christine, Sharon, John (Stephanie), Joseph (Katylyn), Nicholas, Jessica, Christina, and Maxwell; great grandmother of Nicole, Paul, and John; dear sister of the late Serafina (the late Mario) Borra; fond aunt of many.

Angie graduated from Mundelein College in 1950, majoring in Music, later achieving her master’s degree in Arts in Education at Concordia University in 1979. She was a lifelong educator teaching at various Catholic and Chicago Public Schools, as well as a piano teacher to many.

Angie had a passion for music. She was an extraordinary pianist, much admired by her family and friends. She was an active member of the Hinsdale and Lake Geneva Chapters of Lyric Opera Chicago for many years. Angie also loved to paint watercolors, bringing to life the landscapes and nature around her. Angie enjoyed baking, especially with her children and grandchildren. She was known for her quick wit, her sense of humor, and her kind compassionate spirt.

Visitation Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706. Proceeding to St. Eugene Church, Chicago, IL for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
