Obituary for Alan K. Rickert

Alan Keith Rickert, age 70, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, but most recently resided in Delavan, Wisconsin passed away on July 1st, 2022, after a well fought battle against cancer. Al was an avid bowler who enjoyed living in the fast lane, which made sense because he loved fast cars and fast boats. His lake friends may have called him Al, but he was truly King of the Lake because with his contagious laugh and smile, he was truly special to be around.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents Sherwood A. and Dorothy E. Nimtz Rickert and his sister Adrienne (Rickert) Stephens.

Alan is survived by his eldest sister Lynn Tijerina and is also dearly missed by his nieces and nephews: Laurie (Rick) Lawrence, Lance, Gregg (the late Judy), Bethany Stachura, Tracey Tijerina, Jill (Michael) Dvoracek, and Preston (Laura)
He is the fondly remembered great-uncle of Ashley, Kyle, Jack, Kaytlyn, Daniel, Rachel, Brynn, Ella, Hunter, Layne, Evan, Kailey, Kloe and Karly; the great-great-uncle of Violet, Forrest and Scarlett.

Alan was the president of Anode Products Co., the family business started by his father in 1947, for 41yrs where he enjoyed working with his sisters, nephews and niece.

Alan's kind nature, big smile and booming laugh made him a joy to be around, leaving lasting impressions on old business connections, previous neighbors, and friends from long ago.
His wake will be held on Friday July 8th, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706.
